Assignment 14: (re-do) Opening Sequence Analysis

Task: You are making a powerpoint presentation in which you are analysing opening sequences. This is a little different to the way you did the last one. You can either ADD to your current presentation or start over but you need to follow this structure please:
STEP ONE   Choose a level:


ALL MUST: be able to analyse at least 1 opening sequences (D grade and below)
MOST SHOULD: be able to analyse at least 2 opening sequences (C grade and below)
SOME COULD: be able to analyse at least 3+ opening sequences (B/A grade and below)


STEP TWO:   Make slides about the following:


1. What genre is this opening sequence and how does it meet conventions of the genre in the opening sequence?

2. You may hyperlink the youtube link if you wish (just the url address, DONT embed on powerpoint)

3. Include stills of the video (print screen) which are labelled to explain your analysis (do this for each element)

      YOU WILL NEED 1-5 STILL SHOTS (print screens) per each element listed below!

   Mise-en-Scene (Character: facial expression, body language, gesture, costume/props/make-up, who/what does the character represent?, lighting, colour and setting)

4. Who is the target audience for this opening sequence?  (remember gender, ethnicity, social class, location/region, interests, etc) Why – how do you know?  You could include pictures of people who would potentially watch this as evidence.

5. How does this opening sequence create enigma? Include images (either print screen or other images) as evidence.

6. Post the presentation on your blog
